Mike Francesa: Sports' Slow Season Drawing To A Close

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Congratulations, you've almost made it through the slowest time of the year for sports fans!

On his show Friday, WFAN's Mike Francesa said he welcomed NCAA Tournament Selection Sunday because it signals an end to the dog days of sports -- which started the second the Super Bowl drew to a close.

Francesa did concede, however, that NFL free agency this week gave fans some early relief from the doldrums.
