LISTEN: WFAN's Mike Francesa Invites Emotional Mets Fan To Sit With Him At Game 3

NEW YORK (WFAN) -- WFAN's Mike Francesa showed his softer side Monday.

A day after Will from Queens, a longtime Mets fan, cried on the air while discussing his beloved team, Francesa invited him to sit with him at Monday night's Mets-Dodgers playoff game.

"You know where the Hodges entrance is?" Francesa asked Will. " ... You be there at 8 o'clock, and you can sit with me for the game."

Will, a junior high math teacher who listens to games on the radio because he doesn't have cable TV, was literally speechless, leaving several seconds of dead air.

"I don't know what to say," he said eventually, sounding at one point as though he might cry again.

"Say 'Let's go Mets,'" Francesa said.

It will be the first playoff baseball game Will has attended.

Listeners applauded the move on Twitter.
