LISTEN: Mike Francesa Chats With Bernie Williams

LAKE COMO, N.J. (WFAN) -- Yankees great Bernie Williams graced those in attendance at Mike Francesa's end-of-summer celebration at Bar Anticipation with his guitar skills Friday and also chatted with the WFAN host about the 1996 world championship team and the 20-year celebration earlier this month at Yankee Stadium.

"It was awesome," Williams said. "The Yankees did a great job. They brought everybody. I mean, there was a guy that played with the team for like 17 days, and they brought him, too."

Francesa asked Williams if he had one memory that stuck out from 1996. He said there were many, but he did quickly mention Jim Leyritz's legendary home run in Game 4 off Atlanta's Mark Wohlers.

"That turned the whole series around for us," Williams said.
