Employee, Customer Slashed At McDonald's In Midtown East

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Two men -- one an employee and the other a customer -- were slashed Wednesday evening at a McDonald's in Midtown East.

The incident happened sometime after 8:30 p.m. at the McDonald's at 58th Street and Third Avenue, police told CBS2.

An employee tried to break up a fight between customers and was slashed in the thigh, police said. One of the customers was slashed in the lower torso and arm, police said.

It was not clear what started the fight.

The injuries to the victims, both men, were described as very minor and neither required stitches, police said.

Late Wednesday, investigators were inside the McDonald's taking photos and examining the scene. The McDonald's was closed to customers, CBS2's Tracee Carrasco reported.

There had been no arrests late Wednesday and the investigation continued.
