Michelle Obama Sings Beyonce, Joins Missy Elliot On Carpool Karaoke

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) --  The first lady is showing her sense of humor -- and showing off her pipes.

Michelle Obama was on James Corden's show last night, doing a "Carpool Karaoke'' bit.

The routine was taped last month and aired on CBS' "Late Late Show.'' The first lady and Corden sing several songs, including "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It).''

Corden jokes they were pretty good on one of Beyonce's signature tunes. They also sang  "This Is For My Girls.''

The girl power anthem benefits "Let Girls Learn," an initiative launched last year by the first lady and President Barack Obama to help more than 62 million girls around the world.

In March, Corden landed his own "Carpool Karaoke" hour-long prime time special, featuring Jennifer Lopez and highlighting some of the best performances throughout the past year.
