Woman Claims She Was Tossed From Mexican Restaurant For Supporting Trump
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A New York woman claims she and a friend were kicked out of a Mexican restaurant over the weekend for supporting Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, who wants to build a wall along the U.S. southern border.
Esther Levy, 61, of Warwick, was apparently wearing a "Make America Great Again" hat and a Trump button when she went to the Cancun Inn in Sugar Loaf on Sunday.
She told the New York Post that she and her friend ordered their drinks without incident, but the waitress later returned and told them they had to leave.
Levy told the paper that as they were leaving the restaurant, a man, who identified himself as a co-owner, said to them, "We don't serve Trump supporters here. Get out of here and never come back."

The restaurant released a statement on its Facebook page, saying Levy and her friend were asked to leave "because they were being rude to the staff and rowdy due to intoxication."
"We have never, and will never discriminate against anyone based on race, religion, gender, sexual preference or political beliefs," the statement read.
Levy called the restaurant's accusations "ridiculous."
