Glitch Leads To Display Of World Series Gear On Mets Website

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The Mets briefly got ahead of themselves on their website Wednesday, showing off National League championship gear when there was still at least one more game to go.

Before Game 4 against the Cubs had even started, a glitch showed off the championship gear.

It included a logo declaring the Mets "National League Champions" a blue T-shirt with the phrase, "the pennant will rise," and a light-colored cap saying "World Series" and a "Mets NY" logo on it, CBS Sports reported.

The mistake was corrected on the site, but not before people took screenshots.

The Mets were up 3-0 in the NLCS as of Wednesday night, and were already up 6-0 early in Game 4.
