Mets Rained Out; Will Play Doubleheader On Sunday

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) -- The Mets postponed their game against the Arizona Diamondbacks as severe storms hit the area Friday evening.

The game went into a rain delay at the bottom of the fourth inning, with the Diamondbacks leading the Mets 2-0.

To make up for the rain-out Mets will play a single-admission doubleheader on Sunday, starting at 1:10 p.m. Tickets for the Sunday game will be honored for admission for the doubleheader, and Banner Day on Sunday will continue as scheduled with registration at 10 a.m.

Those holding paid tickets to the Friday night game can exchange their ticket for one for another game played within one year of Friday night – including the Sunday doubleheader.

The Mets have won five in a row against the Diamondbacks (18-31), thanks in large part to a 2.05 ERA from the rotation. That includes allowing two runs in 18 1-3 innings while sweeping a three-game series at Arizona from April 14-16.
