Heyman: Mets Reach 1-Year, $4.325 Million Deal With Harvey

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) — The New York Mets have reached deals with pitcher Matt Harvey and four other players.

The team also said it exchanged salary arbitration figures with first baseman Lucas Duda and three others on Friday.

Harvey got a one-year contract that will pay him $4.325 million, WFAN baseball insider Jon Heyman reported. The hard-throwing right-hander went 13-8 with a 2.71 ERA last season.

Also settling with the Mets were shortstop Ruben Tejada and relievers Carlos Torres, Addison Reed and Josh Edgin.

Duda hit a team-leading 27 home runs for the NL champions. Closer Jeurys Familia, newly acquired second baseman Neil Walker and reliever Jenrry Mejia joined Duda in trading arbitration numbers.
