Mets Host Citi Field Sleepover For Fans

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- It's a party at Citi Field as the New York Mets host their second annual Citi Field Sleepover.

Fans in attendance will be able to lay out in sleeping bags, or camp out in tents as they watch the Mets take on the San Diego Padres on a big screen projector in the outfield grass of Citi Field, 1010 WINS reported.

Those with sleeping bags will be allowed to sleep right on the grass. Those with tents can set up on the warning track.

The 15-hour event, which is kid-friendly and costs $200 per person, includes dinner and breakfast in Fan Fest, a late night snack in the Group Sales Clubhouse and the opportunity to meet Mr. and Mrs. Met.

Attendees will also receive a complimentary pillow and a ticket to see the Mets play the Houston Astros on Sept. 28.

Last year about 300 people took part in the festivities.
