2 Police Officers Injured When Police Vehicle Crashes Into Truck In Mendham, N.J.

MENDHAM, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- Two Mendham, New Jersey police officers were injured Tuesday night when a police vehicle collided with a truck.

The truck driver was also injured.

The Mendham Township Police squad car was on routine patrol when it was involved in a crash with a semi-trailer truck at Corey Lane and Mendham Road around 8 p.m., police said.

The police vehicle and the truck collided head-on, police said.

The officers and the truck driver were all rushed to Morristown Medical Center in Morristown, and their conditions were all reported to be stable, police said. Their injuries were not life-threatening.

It was not clear whether the fog played a factor, but the area was very foggy late Tuesday, police said.

The Morris County Prosecutor's office said it was investigating late Tuesday.
