Police: Men In Suits Forced Woman To Withdraw Thousands From Bank In Brooklyn
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are on the hunt for three well dressed robbers in Brooklyn.
Authorities said a 47-year-old woman was approached by a man dressed in business attire on June 6 at the corner of Herzl and Newport streets around 1:30 p.m.
They said the man asked her for directions to a local church when the second suspect, dressed in a green suit, tried to provide assistance.
That's when the first man displayed a firearm and ordered her into a vehicle, where a third suspect waited, police said.
As the first suspect drove, authorities said the men ordered the victim to contact her bank.
Police said she was taken to a Chase bank located at 5015 Church Ave., where the second suspect took her to withdraw $2,000.
The suspects then dropped the woman off at Newport and East 98th streets and fled.
The victim was not hospitalized as a result of this incident, police said.
Police described all of the men as in their 40s. The car is believed to be a late model Chrysler sedan in a dark color, police said.
