Winning Mega Millions Ticket Sold In New Jersey, $267 Million Up For Grabs

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – Someone in New Jersey could be waking up a multi-millionaire!

Friday night's winning Mega Millions lottery ticket was sold in the Garden State.

The winning numbers for the $267 million jackpot were 29, 33, 39, 60, 66, and the mega ball was 21.

Lottery officials announced that ticket was sold at a QuickChek on New Brunswick Avenue in Phillipsburg.

Store manager John Rakowski says a lottery official arrived in person early Saturday morning to break the good news. So far, the winner hasn't come forward.

Rakowski says he isn't surprised.

"Wait a couple weeks, get all your ducks in a row, and then go down to Trenton," he said.

Mayor Stephen Ellis says he hopes to meet the lucky man or woman.

"I'll give them a call, I'll definitely give her a call and make some friends real quick," he said. "I was hoping it was a relative."

If that lucky lotto player chooses the lump sum cash payout, they'll received over $161 million after taxes.

Even if you didn't win on Friday fear not! Saturday's Powerball jackpot is worth a whopping $348 million.
