$165 Million Mega Millions Ticket Sold On Staten Island

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) -- It's not the $900 million Powerball jackpot. Someone who bought a Mega Millions ticket at a New York City deli won a paltry $165 million.

An unidentified person bought the winning ticket for Friday's Mega Millions drawing at the Willowbrook Deli on Staten Island.

Deli manager Sarbjit Singh is eager to know who the winner is.

"I hope it's a regular customer," he told 1010 WINS' Samantha Liebman.

The winning Mega Millions numbers were 11, 39, 51, 57 and 75, plus the Mega Ball 2.

The record Powerball jackpot has been getting all the attention in New York and elsewhere. Singh said Friday's Mega win may have helped his Powerball ticket sales, with more than 20,000 tickets sold on Saturday.

"We are crazy right now with the Powerball," he said.

A woman named Ursula heard about the big Mega winner at the deli and decided to come back and buy one more Powerball ticket.

"I live right near here and they've had big winners here before," she said.

"What are the odds of it coming out twice, but I'm going to give it a shot," another woman named Ellen said.

New York Lottery officials say sales have climbed to $3.3 million per hour for Saturday night's Powerball drawing.
