Mets Pitcher Matt Harvey Meets Fallen NYPD Sergeant's Family

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- New York Mets pitcher Matt Harvey visited the NYPD's 43rd Precinct on Thursday, meeting with police and the family of Sgt. Paul Tuozzolo who was killed in a shootout in the Bronx earlier this month.

The pitcher posted a photo on Instagram, calling the visit "an honor."

Tuozzolo, Sgt. Emmanual Kwo and a rookie officer were responding to a 911 call about a domestic disturbance when they spotted a car matching the description of the suspect's vehicle.

The driver, Manuel Rosales, 35, opened fire, shooting Tuozzolo in the head.

His funeral was held last Thursday.
