Police Search For Suspects After Armed Robbery Of LI Bank

MASSAPEQUA, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- Police are searching for two men in connection to an armed robbery of a Long Island bank on Sunday afternoon.

According to police, two suspects armed with a single handgun entered a TD Bank on Merrick Road in Massapequa and demanded money from a teller.

The employee handed the suspects an undetermined amount of cash, and the suspects fled, according to police.

Police said the incident occurred at around 12: 36 p.m.

According to police, one suspect is described a wearing a black hoodie, a mask and jeans. The second suspect is described wearing a gray sweatshirt, mask, gloves and jeans. Both are described as being between 20 and 30 years old.
