Masahiro Tanaka Selling Tickets, Greeting Fans Prior To Yankees Game
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Heading to the Yankees game on Wednesday night?
You could be in for a special kind of treat.
When you walk into the stadium -- and especially if you're buying tickets -- you might run into some familiar faces.
You know, like one of the best pitchers in Major League Baseball.
No big deal.
At 5pm, Masahiro Tanaka and David Phelps will be stationed at Yankee Stadium Advance Ticket Windows, selling tickets and greeting fans.

And Masahiro Tanaka won't be the only Bomber surprising fans.
At approximately 5:30pm, several #Yankees pitchers will be working the registers at Yankees Team Store behind home plate inside the Stadium.

Also at approximately 5:30pm, Brendan Ryan will be selling programs, yearbooks and media guides in the Great Hall.

New York took the first game of the series against the Tigers on Monday before losing a heartbreaker in 12 innings on Tuesday.
Justin Verlander will take on Chris Capuano in the third game of the four-game set. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
