Police: LI Man Had Marijuana-Infused Gummy Bears In Car

BRENTWOOD, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- A Long Island man was arrested after allegedly being found with marijuana-infused gummy candies in his car while at a traffic stop.

Robert Amabile, 23, of Greenlawn, was pulled over for having a headlight out while a driving a black Honda Civic along Sunken Meadow Parkway near Pulaski Road, police said.

During the stop, police found 17 ounces of "gummy bear" candies that were infused with marijuana resin, officials said. The candies were stashed in three large zip lock bags.

Amabile is charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and other traffic violations.
