NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- New York City firefighters and transit officials were on the scene Wednesday morning as a manhole fire raged in Brooklyn.

According to the Metropolitan Transit Authority, the manhole fire erupted on Willow Place in Brooklyn Heights shortly after 5 a.m. Several sump pumps in the Joralemon Tubes, which carry the Number 4 and 5 trains are affected, but train service has not been disrupted, the MTA said.
