Police: Man Used White Bag In 3 Separate Manhattan Attacks On Asian Women

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are looking for a man who they say attacked three Asian women in separate Manhattan incidents by striking them with a white bag concealing a hard object, CBS2's Matt Kozar reports.

The string of attacks began around 4:15 p.m. Wednesday on Grand Street. Police said the man tried talking to a 35-year-old woman, but when she ignored him, he returned and smacked her in the face with a plastic bag, WCBS 880's Jim Smith reported. The woman was treated at and released from NewYork-Presbyterian/Lower Manhattan Hospital.

A few hours later at Park Avenue and East 30th Street, the man again used the bag in an attack on a 29-year-old woman, police said. The victim was treated at and released from NYU Langone Medical Center.
