Man Withdraws Over $3,000 In Series Of Debit Card Thefts Around Lower Manhattan, Cops Say

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are looking for a man who has been stealing debit card information and making withdrawals from victims' bank accounts around lower Manhattan.

The first incident took place on October 2, just after 7 p.m. when the suspect used the card of a 60-year-old woman to take $500 out of a Citibank ATM at 1 Park Avenue.

Hours later, just after midnight on October 3, the suspect used a 21-year-old man's card to take $989 out of a CVS Santander Bank ATM at 300 Park Ave South.

Then on October 4, he used a 37-year-old man's card information to make multiple withdrawals totaling $908 from a CVS ATM at 253 1st Ave.

Most recently on October 24, the suspect used a 38-year-old woman's card to take $520 from a CVS ATM at 194 7th Ave.

The suspect has been described as a white male, between 25 and 35-years-old, 5'7"-5'10". He was last seen wearing a blue coat, blue jeans, a designer shirt, black rimmed eye-glasses, and a dark colored hat.
