Shaw kept a blog, Diamond reported, and in one of his recent entries he describes his fascination with Asian women, saying "I didn't want to reach the conclusion that Asian women would never take me seriously because of the color of my skin."

Shaw, a black man, added "Inform NYPD, they can stop the searching for me because I'm going to commit suicide," Diamond reported.

Shaw, 25, is 5'11 and about 150 pounds, according to police.

The string of attacks began last Wednesday around 4:15 p.m. on Grand Street. Police believe Shaw tried talking to a 35-year-old woman, but when she ignored him, he returned and smacked her in the face with an object concealed in a white plastic bag.
