Man Wanted For Questioning After Death Of Tourist Outside Bronx Bodega

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - The NYPD wants your help identifying a man wanted for questioning in the death of tourist from Switzerland.

The 37-year-old victim was found unconscious outside of Gurrero Bodega on Washington Avenue in the Bronx early Friday. The victim suffered head trauma, police said.

The victim is an Italian citizen who lived in Switzerland, police said. He had been in the U.S. for 10 days, living with his girlfriend, sources told CBS 2.

Witnesses said the victim was drunk and belligerent and acting out inside the bodega when someone inside slapped him, sources told CBS 2. The victim fell back and hit his head, sources said.

The man was rushed to the hospital and was declared dead on arrival.

Police have ruled it a homicide, sources told CBS 2.

Police released photos of the person they want to talk to. He is seen in a white tank top and has numerous tattoos.
