NYPD: Man Fatally Stabs Wife In Bronx Home

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) -- Authorities say a man has fatally stabbed his wife in their home in the Bronx.

The New York Police Department says they were called to the home on Barker Avenue for a report of a stabbing around 2:45 a.m. Monday and found Eureka Robinson, 49, with stab wounds to her back.

She was taken to Montefiore Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

A short time after the stabbing, police say Robinson's husband, Patrick Robinson, 52, turned himself in to police. He's charged with first-degree murder, second-degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon.

It's unclear if he has an attorney who could comment on the charges.
