Man Slashed In The Face Inside Boerum Hill, Brooklyn Subway Station

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A man was rushed to the hospital after authorities say he was slashed inside a subway station in Boerum Hill, Brooklyn Tuesday afternoon.

Police say the victim was slashed in the face after getting into a dispute with another man at the turnstiles of the station at Flatbush Avenue and Nevins Street around 4:15 p.m., 1010 WINS' John Montone reported.

Witnesses said the suspect ran out onto Flatbush Avenue.

"Dressed in all black, run across Flatbush here and what was odd was that he was running against the traffic,"  one witness told 1010 WINS. "He got halfway, about three quarters across the street and doubled back to pick up his phone."

The 27-year-old victim was rushed to New York Methodist Hospital. He suffered a gash on his cheek from his ear to chin, Montone reported.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.

Police are reviewing surveillance video.
