Man Shot Dead In Bronx Public Housing Development

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- An investigation was under way Sunday night, after a man was found shot to death in broad daylight in the lobby of a public housing building in the Bronx.

Shortly after 2 p.m. Sunday, police arrived in the lobby of the Castle Hill Houses building at 530 Olmstead Ave. in the Bronx. Officers found the 21-year-old man lying at the scene with two gunshot wounds to his torso.

The man – identified as Christian Hernandez – was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

As of Sunday night, there had been no arrests in the case. The investigation continued.
