Police: Man Takes Replica Pistol Out At Air Train Station, Arrested

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A man has been arrested after allegedly pulling a replica pistol out at a Port Authority police officer.

According to police, Reginald Clark, 45, was at an Air Train turnstile in Jamaica, Queens, when he put his bag down and told a Port Authority officer "I have something for you."

Clark then reached into the waistband of his pants and pulled out what authorities identified as an Air Pistol -- a replica device that resembles a semi-automatic, police said. Clark was disarmed and taken into custody.

According to officials, Clark told police he suffers from bi-polar disorder and was not using his medication at the time.

Clark was taken to Jamaica Hospital for a psychiatric evaluation.

He faces charges of menacing, possession of an Air Pistol and criminal possession of a weapon.
