Police Pull Over Man For Talking On Phone, Find Loaded Weapons In Car
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A New York man was arrested after police found several loaded firearms in his vehicle after he was pulled over for a traffic violation.
Daniel Figueroa, 45, of Rochester, was pulled over after police spotted him talking on his cell phone while driving his gold 2008 Lincoln MKX on Lenox Avenue and 145th Street, police said.
Once he was pulled over, Figueroa admitted to carrying three loaded firearms and to having one firearm in his vehicle, police said.
Police then searched the vehicle and recovered two semi-automatic pistols, a .38 caliber derringer, a .38 caliber special revolver, as well as three additional loaded pistols and four switchblade knives, police said.
Figueroa was also driving with a suspended license, police said.
Figueroa was arrested and charged with 10 counts of criminal possession of a weapon, aggravated unlicensed operator and driving while using a mobile phone.
