Man Killed In Hit-And-Run In Marble Hill

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A man was struck and killed Monday afternoon in a hit-and-run in Marble Hill.

Police were called just before 7 p.m. after a man was found in the street at 225th Street in Broadway in Marble Hill. The neighborhood is politically part of Manhattan, but geographically located in the Bronx.

The man was walking west on 225th Street when he was struck by the vehicle headed south on Broadway through the intersection, police said.

The victim was rushed to NewYork Presbyterian-Columbia University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

He was identified as Daniel Cabrera, 38, of Cortland Manor, police said.

The driver sped off, police said.

Police were working on finding a description of the vehicle.
