Man Killed, Another Wounded In Shooting Outside Newark Strip Club

NEWARK, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- Police are investigating after a man was fatally shot and another was wounded outside a northern New Jersey strip club early Sunday morning.

Essex County prosecutors told NJ.com the shooting at 21 Foxes Go-Go in Newark happened around 2:25 a.m.

After police arrived on the scene, they were told the two victims were taken to a hospital in a private vehicle.

East Orange resident Sharod Coleman, 23, was pronounced dead shortly before 3 a.m. The wounded victim, whose name was not released, was hospitalized is in stable condition.

Police are still investigating the motive for the shooting. No arrests have been made.

The Essex County Sheriff's Crime Stoppers program is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
