Man Found Dead Outside Temple On Long Island

EAST MEADOW, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- A man's dead body was found Saturday outside a temple on Long Island.

Around 4 p.m., Nassau County police found the body near Temple Emanu-El, at 123 Merrick Ave. in East Meadow.

Around 15 minutes earlier, witnesses had called police after they saw the man walking along the Hempstead Turnpike near Merrick Avenue. They said the man was stumbling.

There was no word Saturday night on how the unidentified man died.

The Nassau County Medical Examiner's office will determine the cause of his death.
