Man Confronts Burglar Near Bedroom In Latest Chatham Break-In

CHATHAM, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- The hunt is on for a burglar wanted in connection with a string of break-ins in Chatham, New Jersey.

A homeowner on Fairmount Avenue confronted a man who was walking near a bedroom in his house around 5 a.m. on Tuesday.

It was the fourth burglary in the area this month.

While police have not yet linked all of the crimes there have been some similarities. The burglars have entered through unlocked doors and window while residents are asleep inside.

"It's a little unusual and frightening that they're going into people's home when people are home," Cindy Dealty Ross said.

Neighbors say the homeowner involved in the latest incident just moved to the area a few weeks ago.
