Man Allegedly Attempts To Smuggle Liquid Cocaine Through JFK Airport

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – It looked a lot like rum, but it certainly wasn't.

A man was caught by federal officials for allegedly smuggling liquid cocaine into the country, CBS2 reported.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at John F. Kennedy International Airport found four bottles of run in bags with a man arriving from Guyana.

Authorities say the liquid appeared thicker and had a chemical odor.

Wilton Sinclair, a U.S. citizen, was arrested. He faces federal narcotics smuggling charges.
