Man Accused Of Shooting Arrows At Fellow N.J. Homeless Encampment Residents
VINELAND, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- A South Jersey man was accused Friday of using a bow and arrow to shoot at the homeless.
As WCBS 880's Jim Smith reported, police in Vineland, Cumberland County, alleged David Miceli, 46 – who is himself homeless – was using the bow and arrow to terrorize fellow residents at a homeless encampment.
"It doesn't look like there was a particular victim. He was shooting the arrows at – I guess there were several subjects there," said Vineland police Lt. Adam Austino.
Austino said no one was actually hits by the arrows Wednesday.
The encampment is in a vacant wooded area behind a Wal-Mart and is not known for violence, he said.
"Usually, we don't have any type of incident like this," Austino said.
Miceli faces charges of assault and aggravated weapons possession, and was being held late Friday on $50,000 bail.
