PASSAIC, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- A woman was killed Wednesday when an allegedly drunken driver slammed into her vehicle on Route 21 in Passaic, N.J.

Passaic police told The Record that Danielle Daszczyszak, 32, of Clifton may have been ejected from her car during the crash, which occurred around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday on Route 21 northbound at River Drive.

She was taken to St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center in Paterson, where she died a short time later.

The other driver, Adrian Ofarrill, 30, of Newark, had to be extricated from his vehicle, which was on fire when police arrived. He was being treated at a hospital for ``serious injuries,'' but further details were not disclosed.
