Long Island Man Allegedly Orders Pit Bull To Attack Party Guest During Argument

BETHPAGE, N.Y. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- A Long Island man is accused of ordering his dog to attack a party guest during an argument.

George Jordan-Gonzalez, 24, punched the victim twice in the face after the two got into an argument at his Bethpage home on Hicksville Road around 2:45 a.m. Wednesday, Nassau County police said.

When the 21-year-old victim tried to leave, Jordan-Gonzalez released his pit bull on him, police said.

The victim stabbed the dog with a pocket knife as the animal dragged him around the house, police said. When he tried calling 911, police said Jordan-Gonzalez grabbed the cell phone.

Another guest called police.

The victim suffered cuts to his arms, legs and shoulders. He is hospitalized in stable condition.

The extent of the dog's injuries wasn't immediately known.

Police charged Jordan-Gonzalez with assault and robbery.
