Long Island Man Claims He Found Needles In Toys 'R' Us Package

HOLBROOK, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- A Long Island man claims he received a shipment of needles from Toys "R" Us after ordering toys online.

Robert Stoebe of Holbrook said he received the package Tuesday.

"You're expecting toys and you're getting syringes for insulin," Stoebe told 1010 WINS' Mona Rivera. "I was dumbfounded."

Stoebe, who has two children under age 5, estimates there were 100 insulin syringes in the box.

"If I hadn't opened the box right away and my daughter got into and she's playing with it or my son opens the package they could hurt themselves," Stoebe said.

Toys "R" Us said in an email, "We are in the process of looking into this matter to determine how this may have occurred."
