Police: Man Broke Into Gym Lockers, Used Stolen Credit Cards At Apple Store On Long Island

NEW HYDE PARK, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- A Queens man is accused of stealing from lockers at a Long Island gym.

As WCBS 880's Sophia Hall reported, as the gym members were using weights and treadmills, authorities said Aziz Danish, who was not a member, broke into the men's lockers at LA Fitness in New Hyde Park and stole cash and credit cards.

"The defendant then went to the Apple Store and used the stolen credit cards to make purchases in excess of $4,900," said Nassau County police officer Jean Deluca.

The 29-year-old is accused of breaking into lockers on three separate dates. During his arrest, Danish was also charged with possession of marijuana, Hall reported.
