Long Island Group Home Worker Accused Of Hitting 71-Year-Old Woman In Face

GREAT NECK, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- A Queens man is accused of abusing an elderly woman who lives in a Long Island group home.

The abuse allegedly happened in June at the ACLD group home in Great Neck, WCBS 880's Sophia Hall reported.

Randolph Bien-Aime, 26, who worked at the home, hit a 71-year-old woman, authorities said.

"Mr. Bien-Aime struck a 71-year-old female in the face, and he was charged with endangering the welfare of an elderly person as well as endangering the welfare of an incompetent person," Nassau County police Detective Vincent Garcia told Hall.

Bien-Aime was arrested at his home Tuesday and is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday.

Garcia said the suspect is no longer employed by the group home.
