2 Men Charged In Connection With Long Island Church Robberies

MEDORD, N.Y. (CBSNewYork)-- Two men will be arraigned Saturday on numerous charges after Suffolk County police say they robbed several churches.

William Stepnowski, 38, and Louis Parisi, 25, were arrested on Friday in Medford.

Charges against Stepnowski include criminal trespass and burglary in connection with thefts at four churches. Parisi is charged with criminal trespass.

The Helping Hands Outreach Ministries helps hundreds of people every year, WCBS 880's Sophia Hall reported. 

Pastor Willie Elliott said they would have been happy to help Stepnowski too. The pastor said Stepnowski took cash and an iPad from his church.
