Bull Remains On The Loose On Long Island Over 24 Hours After Escaping Manorville Farm

MASTIC, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- More than a day later, a 1,500-pound bull that escaped on Long Island is still nowhere to be found.

The Long Island Orchestrating for Nature Group is now trying to lure him by using a female cow.

The bull was first spotted around 8:30 a.m. Tuesday in Mastic by some startled residents.

It got loose from a Manorville farm by breaking through a fence.

Night vision video from Tuesday night shows crews as they found the bull but were unable to secure him in the dark.

They plan to set up a bait station Thursday morning.

Once captured, the bull will be taken to a sanctuary in New Jersey.
