Police: Yonkers Livery Driver Stabbed, Slashed In Robbery
YONKERS, N.Y. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- Authorities say a livery cab driver has been stabbed and robbed overnight in the city of Yonkers.
Police say the 64-year-old victim was stabbed and slashed by a passenger who demanded money at around 1 a.m. Thursday in a residential area on Cedar Place.
According to police, the victim was able t get himself out of the car and was found in the street. He was rushed to Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx in serious, but stable condition.
Police say the robber, who remains at large, got away with about $150.
The investigation is ongoing.
