LIRR Service Restored On Four Branches Following Signal Problems

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Service has been restored on the Long Island Rail Road's Long Beach, Babylon, Far Rockaway, and West Hempstead Branches following earlier signal trouble at Valley Stream.

Signal maintainers worked swiftly to restore service to the four branches ahead of Tuesday's evening rush.

The MTA said customers should expect residual delays of more than an hour.
