LIRR Service Restored On Port Washington Branch
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – Long Island Rail Road service has been restored on the Port Washington branch following an earlier suspension.
Train service is restored between Port Washington and Great Neck following temporary repairs to a broken rail in Port Washington. NYC Transit continues to cross-honor tickets for Port Washington Branch customers at Flushing-Main St. and Woodside.

Service was suspended around 6 a.m. Wednesday between Port Washington and Great Neck because of a broken rail in the Port Washington train yard.
We recommend that customers consider alternate branches such as the Oyster Bay branch and using Mineola Station. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
