LIRR, NJ TRANSIT Train Riders Face Rough Morning Commute
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Long Island Rail Road and NJ TRANSIT train riders faced major headaches during the morning commute Wednesday.
A broken rail in one of the East River tunnels caused delays and cancellations on all LIRR Main Line trains into and out of Penn Station.

Some trains were diverted to Hunters-point Avenue or Atlantic Terminal.
Some trains canceled at Jam or diverted to HPA&Atl Term. NYCT x-honors via 7 at HPA, 2/3 at Atl Term & E at Jamaica..

NYC Transit was cross-honoring tickets on the 7 train at Hunters-Points Avenue, the 2 and 3 at Atlantic Terminal, and the E at Jamaica.
NEC, NJCL, RVL, & MidTown Direct trains are subject to 30 minute delays in and out of NYPS due to an Amtrak track condition near NYPS.

Also, NJ TRANSIT's Northeast Corridor, North Jersey coast, Raritan Valley line and Midtown Direct trains experienced 30 minutes delays into and out of Penn Station.
