LIRR Service Resumes With Delays Into, Out Of Jamaica Station
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Fire department activity halted Long Island Rail Road service into and out of Jamaica Station for nearly an hour Monday morning.
Service resumed in both directions between Jamaica and Penn Station, and between Jamaica and Atlantic Terminal just after 10:30 a.m.
Delays were averaging 45 minutes.
NYC Transit was cross-honoring LIRR fares.
LIRR averaging delays of 45 min in both directions through Jamaica due to an earlier service suspension caused by fire department activity.
