Service Resumes At Penn Station After Delays, Cancellations Snarl Evening Commute

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Long Island Rail Road commuters dealt with delays and cancellations as an Amtrak track problem snarled the Tuesday evening commute into and out of Penn Station.

Riders experienced 10 to 15 minute delays heading eastbound out of Penn Station, and numerous LIRR trains were altogether cancelled throughout the evening.

Service was disrupted for over two hours as Amtrak crews worked to fix the track condition.
