Cops: NJ Teen Accused Of Threatening Linden H.S. Students On Social Media

LINDEN, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- A New Jersey teenager has been arrested after police say he made threats against students at Linden High School.

Police say the 15-year-old, who has not been identified, posted a picture on social media on Wednesday showing what appeared to be a handgun and warning students not to go to school on Thursday, CBS2 reported.

Concerned parents notified school officials, who then contacted police.

The teen was arrested at his home and charged with making terroristic threats. He has since been released to his parents.

Police say there is no credible threat to Linden High School, and classes will go on as scheduled.
