Tractor-Trailer, Light Rail Train Collide In Jersey City

JERSEY CITY, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- A collision involving a light rail train and a tractor-trailer in Jersey City caused a brief service suspension on the Hudson/Bergen line but no serious injuries.

The accident happened around 10:45 a.m. Monday near the Newport Centre mall.

None of the 23 people onboard the train were injured, CBS2 reported. The train operator was treated at the scene for back pain.

Service was suspended for about 45 minutes.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
