Hundreds of flights canceled, delayed in Tri-State Area

More than 3,000 flights canceled in 2 days across U.S.

NEW YORK -- From trains to planes, Friday was a rough day for commuters and travelers.

CBS News reports more than 3,000 flights have been canceled in the past two days.

Weather and storms along the east coast have been blamed for some of the travel troubles.

Carriers have also been dealing with staffing problems because of the pandemic.

In our area, 114 flights out of LaGuardia were canceled Friday and 185 delayed, 48 were canceled out of JFK and 232 delayed, and at Newark, 80 flights were canceled and 256 delayed.
